Throughout your time at Kepier, you will be equipped with the skills and resources you need to successfully reach your career goals and aspirations. You will receive impartial and up-to-date advice and guidance to help and support you through every stage of your school life.
From Year 7 until year 11 you will be given the opportunity to take part in lots of activities, visit local colleges, universities and businesses as well as having access to visitors in school who will give you the information you need to make informed decisions and to prepare you for your next steps.
In Year 11 you will have a Guidance Interview to discuss any ideas you may have and to help you with any applications you wish to make for your post-16 transition. It is recommended that you do some research at home before your interview. The links in the directory will help you. By the time you leave us at the end of Year 11 you will have a full CV and Personal Statement ready for the world of work.
The Guidance Hub will provide information and support for you and your parents and carers. If you have any questions or would like to talk to someone about any of our activities or what you would like to do after Year 11 you can speak to your Coach or Kepier’s Guidance Officer, Miss Watson. Miss Watson can be contacted on 0191 5128960 or learners can visit the Guidance Support Office.
At Kepier we work closely with Kelly Woods from Connexions in Houghton. She can be contacted by email: kelly.woods@Sunderland.gov.uk or by telephone: 0191 5616307.
