My name is Mrs Brown and I am the Year Manager for Year 8. I have worked at Kepier for 13 years and am proud to be part of the school and this year group. My main aim is to support learners and encourage positive attitudes to learning and behaviour, in and around school.
My role is to manage the day to day running of the year group and be one of the first ports of call for learners, parents and carers, in relation to behaviour, attendance and barriers to learning. I am on-call and available for learners throughout the day and after school.
With support from Senior Pastoral Leaders, I manage the behaviour of the year group, including detentions, and respond to any attendance and bullying issues that may arise. I also support the work of the coaches, and liaise with department leaders regarding any issues for learners within the year group. This ensures that everyone in Year 8 can progress and achieve their potential.
I believe that my honest and open attitude to learners, staff and families means that I can get the best out of everyone, whilst remaining approachable and helpful. I have extremely high standards and I maintain those throughout my working day and expect the learners in my year group to do the same. Kepier is a great place to work and learn, and I look forward to guiding the Year 8’s through the next 4 years of their education.
