Mr M. HaleyYear 7 ManagerMr Haley, Year ManagerMy name is Mr Haley and I am the Year Manager for Year 7. Welcome to Year 7I am excited to start the same 5 year journey as the learners who have joined us in September! After lots of hard work to make the transition from primary to secondary, I am here at Kepier to help support and allow learners to grow and thrive in secondary school life. I lead the day to day running of the year group, and I'm on hand to deal with any concerns, struggles and successes learners in year 7 may encounter. We understand the first year in secondary can be challenging, my main role is to ensure learners are fully equipped to meet the demands of secondary school, and create positive routines that set learners up for their 5 years at school and beyond. As part of the transition to secondary school, we have made changes to the whole school approach, for example, our Monday Assemblies are face to face to ensure the learners achievements from the previous weeks are celebrated, and learners are set up for the day and week ahead. We also have a greater focus on celebrating success which are rewarded with weekly prizes. Open lines of communication are essential and I welcome contact from parents and carers, to have a well rounded approach with the learner at the heart of every decision we make. I look forward to working with you and your child preparing them for their post 16 options and to become successful individuals in the future. If you have any questions or would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me in school. Mrs M. NavinYear 8 ManagerMrs Navin, Year ManagerMy name is Mrs Navin and I am the Year Manager for Year 8. Welcome to Year 8As Year 8 Manager I am looking forward to continuing my journey with the learners. My aim is to support all learners and encourage positive attitudes to learning and behaviour in school. My role is to lead the year group and with senior staff to manage behaviour, deal with bullying issues and any barriers to learning as they arise. I am available for learners, parents and carers throughout the school day and after school,to offer emotional and practical support and to celebrate success. I firmly believe that education is about helping to create life ready young people and school plays a great part in the success of each individual. With this in mind, good attendance and behaviour is key to learning and I have very high expectations and look forward to supporting and guiding the learners to achieve and succeed. I am open, honest and approachable and available to support learners, parents and carers in relation to learner behaviour, concerns and barriers to learning. Good communication and support from parents and carers is vital in order for our learners to succeed and I will be more than happy to discuss any issues no matter how small. I hope that with the support received in school and the valued support from parents and carers! all learners will continue to enjoy a varied and fulfilling time at Kepier and reach their full potential.
