Mr Haley, Year 8 Manager

My name is Mr Haley and I am the Year Manager for Year 8.

Welcome to Year 8

After a successful transition programme in year 7, I am excited to further develop our positive habits and routines into year 8.

Year 8 is all about becoming autonomous with our behaviours and attitude, so we can focus solely on learning to provide the best outcomes possible in year 11.

I lead the day to day running of the year group, and I'm on hand to deal with any concerns, struggles and successes learners in year 8 may encounter.

As with last year, we will celebrate our successes and ensure all learners are equipped and ready to excel in the classroom. This will come in a variety of forms, of which we are keeping secret for the moment!

Open lines of communication are essential and I welcome contact from parents and carers, to have a well rounded approach with the learner at the heart of every decision we make.

I look forward to working with you and your child preparing them for their post 16 options and to become successful individuals in the future, which I am confident we will achieve in abundance!

Hello and welcome to Year 10. I am very proud to be the Year Manager for Y10. I should remain with the year group until they complete their GCSEs.

Welcome to Year 10

KS4 is an opportunity for learners to refocus efforts and achieve their best academic outcomes. I am committed to the year group and will work with them to make the most of their unique potential.

As well as providing a purposeful, disciplined and thriving learning environment, the needs of every individual learner is at the heart of year management. Care, encouragement and guidance are at hand throughout the day to support learners’ emotional health and well-being. They are not alone: any setbacks or worries will be faced together and every accomplishment celebrated.

Communication with families is vital to the happiness of any learner and I extend a warm invitation to parents and carers to get in touch should the need arise.

Over the next academic year, I will ensure the best possible educational experience for learners, champion their brilliance and value them for who they are and for who we know they can become.
