Subject:

Health and Social Care

Subject Overview:

Health and Social Care is an interesting, relevant and exciting subject. It relates to the day to day life of an individual and the developmental changes over the course of their life. It highlights the role of health and social care professionals in various care services and how they can promote vital care values to their clients. Another component we cover is health and wellbeing investigating ways in which we can lead a healthy lifestyle and how best to promote this.

It covers a vast range of key topics and promotes collaborative learning, discussion, problem solving, debate and an awareness of current issues in health. This course is offered to students as an option subject to be completed in years 10 & 11.
