Term Time plus 1 week (38 + 1)
Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours Monday to Friday NJC Scale Point Range 3 – 4
Pro-rata Salary £19,301 – £19,621 per annum (Full-Time Equivalent £22,737 – £23,114)
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Technician to join our Art and Technology
Departments at Kepier.
We are looking to employ an enthusiastic, outgoing and adaptable individual who has the ability to succeed in the above role. The role will support the Art and Technology departments. Duties will include, but are not limited to, safety and maintenance checks on all the machines in the workshop, preparation of materials and resources for lessons as required (some of which would require using CAD/CAM software, including using the laser cutter, 3D printer and Kiln), ordering of materials, setting out equipment and assistance in the daily management of equipment and tools and their general repairs.
The successful candidate should have experience of working in a similar role, ideally within an educational setting. It is essential that the successful candidate has excellent organisational skills, works well both independently and as part of a team, is able to follow instructions and show initiative. The post holder will need to develop effective and safe in class practices, and will be expected to work in a classroom situation to support practical lessons.
