**Year 10 – Northumbria Police Cadet Scheme**
Applications are now open for Northumbria Police Cadets 3 year scheme. The below link is a short video about cadets to show you what we get up to.
The Northumbria Police cadet scheme is an incredible three-year programme open to students in Year 10, where young people work alongside serving police officers, see behind the scenes of our stations and get involved with their local community.
They meet weekly and will be trained in a new subject, from learning the basics of the law to practical first aid skills.
Cadets get involved with high profile local events too – and could find themselves lending a hand along the route of the Great North Run, joining thousands of others in marching at a Pride event or doing a meet and greet at Sunderland Air Show.
Joining the cadets is a chance for young people to find out their strengths, make a whole new set of friends and find a sense of independence.
Applications are open now until 31st October. Find out more and apply now at:

This week during coaching sessions and the assemblies, we have been talking about the importance of looking after our mental health, how to ask for help, and the support that is available.
Tomorrow we are asking our Kepier community to turn things yellow to show your support and raise awareness this Friday 8th October for #HelloYellow. We are asking you to use the attached images and turn your profile pictures, cover images, backgrounds and screen savers yellow.
We would love to show our support for this as a school, so we would encourage you if you can to get involved.
